This collection includes photos of baskets created by basketweavers within the Karuk and other Northwestern California Native Tribes. These include contemporary and historical photos, as well as photos from archival and private basket collections.
As the Fix the World people, the Karuk continue to uphold sacred ceremonial responsibilities to heal and renew the world. We continue the traditions of our ancestors as part of our responsibilities as stewards of this land and our relations.
