Nanu'ávaha Sixth Grade Lesson 6: Being from a Special Place

Description: 
Lesson plans for Lesson 6 of the Sixth Grade curriculum. Students will gain an understanding of how the diet and culinary values of people are connected to place, and learn about the many Native foods that were and are still used by California Indians. Many aspects of harvest, processing, and managing for Native plants that have been addressed in previous lessons will be revisited in a broader scope that includes many other California tribes.
